Detroit’s newest spokes group is poised to stake their claim in this new hip hop landscape; and like their late namesake
(former Detroit Mayor Coleman Young) they plan to breathe new life into the tough city where they mastered their art.
The emcee collective’s four members, (Mic Write, Blak Smith, Phenom, and Kopelli) were brought together by mutual respect of each other’s mastery of their lyrical craft while frequenting Detroit’s burgeoning open mic circuit over the years. Their debut project Champagne Nights/Red Stripe Budget has recently been crowned by Hip Hop Tastemakers.
